It's a Baby....

BOY!!!

This past Thursday, we finally got to find out whether our next baby is a boy or girl, and we are so excited to announce that baby CREW WARREN is on the way! We wanted to find out with our family, so we invited everyone over Thursday evening, after our ultrasound appointment that afternoon. I decided to go all out on decorating and having fun with it because, how many times do you have such a unique party??

The hardest thing was going to the ultrasound appointment and NOT looking! Eric and I both locked our eyes on each other to make sure the other one wasn't peeking, and we waited until the lady said she was done with the gender part. The funny thing was, we both noticed how quickly she could tell if it was a boy or girl. AND, she switched the screen over to look in 3d for a second, and Eric and I both noticed a little something peeking out at us. So needless to say, we had an idea before the party, but we didn't wanna ruin the surprise either way! Eric and I left the appt, and he headed to the cake place to have a cake made with either name, and he even took the present with him. I dont think he trusted me NOT to look! HAHA. Not that I blame him...

When everyone arrived, they had to put on either a pink boa or a blue tie. This signified what they thought we were having. The party started at 6, and I think we had the present opened by 6:05!! We couldn't wait any longer! We recorded the opening, and then sent that to Erics family that couldn't be there. It was so fun to find out with that many people, and have a party for Crew right when we knew it was a boy. He should feel so loved!!

Boa or Tie?

Crew or Logan???

We are all so excited!!

Mom and Bill were right!

GG and Hailey were not

So happy to have a baby brother on the way!

I am honestly ecstatic about having another boy. I look at Gavin every day and wonder how I can ever love another baby as much as I love this sweet boy. In my Mom's words "Somehow you just do, like your heart just gets bigger." I am so lucky for my family, and that God has been so amazing to us. There are days I look around and think "Can life really get any better?" But somehow it just DOES!

I can't wait for our family to be complete: Eric, me, Gavin and Crew!

Beautiful day for the FAIR!

What better to do on a perfectly sunny Sunday afternoon in September but go to the Great State Fair of Oklahoma!?? Nothing...so that's exactly what we did! Im really not into much at the fair, mostly just the food! So we wanted to introduce Gavin to the most insane CARNEY LOVING, PEOPLE WATCHING, FRIED FOOD EATING event of his life thus far!

We started out with a corn dog

Then moved onto Corn on the Cob

And then proceeded to the cinnamon roll stand!
We walked through some buildings in between our food binge, so that we could work off some calories.

But before we left, I HAD to get my annual "Heaven on a Stick!" It's a slice of cheesecake, dipped in peanut butter, then drizzled in chocolate. I dont think I could ever do this justice without you having it for yourself!

We had a great family day at the fair!!

OU vs Florida State

This weekend was our first BIG game of the season. Too bad it was an away game, but we definitely made the best of it by spending the afternoon outside, "tailgating" on the Blackburns back porch. Ryan smoked some amazing ribs, the kids played on the swings and all over the patio, and we hung out with lots of friends! The game ended up being a nail biter all the way to the end, but the Sooners pulled it out and it was an awesome win!

Hailey likes to pose for my camera

I think this little guy was happy too
I swear she loves me, just not in this pic

Gavin thinks Hailey is the absolute FUNNIEST person he's ever seen! If she just makes a silly face, or a little noise, Gavin cracks up laughing at her!

16 Weeks - Baby Fischer 2

I haven't been the best at updating you all on my 2nd pregnancy. I think it's because Ive been trying to get PAST most of this part. More like survive...Im working on getting through the days lately! That's not to say that I haven't been so looking forward to Baby #2s arrival. We are so blessed to be going through all of this again so quickly after the time it took for us to have Gavin. There's not a day that goes by that I don't thank God for my perfect little family. And I can't believe we're only about 23 weeks away from meeting this sweet boy or girl. Speaking of boy or girl, we find out Thursday, which can't get here fast enough. We've invited our family over to our house to find out with us that evening, and the night will be so much fun! Pics and blog to come...

This past week Ive finally started feeling good again. I'd say Im about 90/10 on my good/bad feeling ratio. Or my Normal/Nauseous ratio. But I'll take it any day over puking my guts out and not being able to function! Ive definitely got some energy back, and can now chase Gavin around with a little more "pep." Still no weight gain, and Im still in my regular clothes, so that's a big surprise to me. I figured with Baby #2, I would show a lot sooner. But there's definitely a bump there, whether anyone thinks so or not! I don't mind either way, but it's nice to hold out on maternity clothes for as long as possible.

I dont think I have any cravings, but Ive dropped off the seafood train again. I keep trying it, thinking I can get past it, but it's definitely a pregnancy thing. I do love water...is that a craving? And Ive felt a few small movements here and there, no big kicks yet. Eric and I are ready for the fun to start: baby kicks, big bumps, furniture shopping, decorating, and mostly just loving this sweet baby in my tummy!

10 Months - Where does the time go?

How fast does the time go? Let me just tell you that Gavin sleeping the day away in my arms as a newborn feels like yesterday! And now, the only time I can convince him to snuggle is when he is dead tired at the end of the night. Sometimes we're even lucky enough for him to fall asleep in our arms!

At 10 months, we have definitely hit the "mobile" mark of his life. Neither of us can turn our heads, or he is GONE, pulling everything off the shelves in the pantry, throwing DVDs across the room, or grabbing the toilet paper roll off in the bathrooms. There is never a dull moment around this house, that's for sure, but we love our little crawler / furniture surfer.

As far as any other milestones we've hit, he's mastered a few words "Mama" "Dada" and "Hi." We've been working really hard on some baby sign language, which usually turns into him screaming at me for more food instead of "signing!" Haha. And we've switched mostly to table food, but there are some days where I just can't get this kid to eat any vegetables, so I switch back to 'Ol Trusty, baby food. We've started Mother's Day Out, and he does so great, besides the crying part? Have I mentioned the crying part? The part where I hand him to his teacher and he immediately turns into the saddest most devastated child you could ever imagine and balls his eyes out while I walk away...? Not to mention the fact that he has now developed a sense for "Stranger Danger" with pretty much everyone but Eric and I. I know that this phase is part of being a baby and learning to let your child understand you WILL be back, but this part sucks so bad. Disclaimer: Please don't get your feeling hurt if he doesn't want you to hold him bc now he's always worried Im going to leave! Poor guy...

Happy Boy playing with my fall decorations

"I can stand on my own if I want to!"

He cracks himself up

"What is this thing anyway? It needs to go!"

"See ya 10 months...Im moving onto 11"
Happy 10 months sweet boy! Keep becoming the amazing YOU that YOU are! Your Daddy and I are amazed every day that we get to learn more about who you are becoming. And we think you are perfect and would NEVER want you to be anything else!

First Day of School

The day has finally come...Gavin went to Mother's Day Out for the first time on Wednesday. He has never been watched by anyone who wasn't family, and it was hard for me to let that go. On Tuesday night we went to Open House and visited his new teachers in the "Wiggly Ones" class. He has two teachers, Cheryl and Nicole and they were both so loving and friendly. Gavin will also be in class with his best buddy Kyler.

With Daddy walking into his classroom

Look at the look Kyler is giving him
The morning of their first day, Megan came over early so we could get some pics of the two together. Gavin waited patiently at the front door for them to arrive...

Apparently this is her favorite look!

I love these happy faces!

My little man...all grown up

I dropped him off, and couldn't wait to hear about his day from his teachers. They send a note home every day to let you know how it went. Below is his very first note, and he did SO GREAT! His teachers said he was sweet, and a happy boy. His clothes didn't survive the day though, because he grabbed another boy's red kool-aid (WHO brings red kool-aid???) and poured it all over himself! But other than that, it was a perfect first day!
