OU vs Notre Dame 2013

We're not big "away-game" travelers usually. We love the Sooners, but making it to all the home games has been problematic for us since we've had the boys. But about 4 years ago, we decided that if OU was playing Notre Dame, we were going. We made a 4-day trip out of the event, and flew into Chicago. We stayed on Michigan Ave at the Hilton Chicago, and on gameday we took a limo to the South Bend and back.

Chicago reminds me of a greener NYC, and I absolutely loved the city. When we arrived Thursday, Eric and I did some sight-seeing on our own while the others went to Wrigley Field. Friday morning the guys got the opportunity to play Medinah Country club, which is where the Ryder Cup was held last year. They got to play the championship course, which they said was amazing. Meanwhile, the girls had a big shopping day on Michigan Ave. We barely made a dent in the number of stores available to us, but we enjoyed our day so much and had some quality girl time.

Gameday morning we headed to South Bend, and walked around to see the campus. It was such a beautiful place, and the fans were awesome to us! Garrett dared Beaty to buy him a "BellDozer" jersey and he would wear it, but he didn't actually think Beaty would order it. They even changed out from "BellDozer" to "BellThrowzer" depending on how Blake threw in the touchdowns. It was a great day and a great win for the Sooners!
