Birthday Fun

We had such a great week celebrating Gavin's birthday! On Thursday, Gavin's actual birthday, Gavin and I went and picked up Daddy from work and went to cheesecake factory for lunch. We had a great lunch, and got a piece of cheesecake with a candle for Gav!

That evening, we gave Gavin his birthday present, which was a wagon! He was so in love with it, we couldn't keep him out of the wagon for the rest of the night! Nana and Papa came over and we had dinner and a cookie cake! Im sure you're thinking that this is a lot of cake and sweets for Gavin, but actually he wasn't much into either type of cake. He took a few bites of each, but that was about it. So Mommy had to step in and pick up the slack. I, on the other hand, had a stomach ache after all the sweets I ate for the day!

Saturday afternoon we had Gavin's birthday party at our house. The theme was sports, and I worked really hard to make it special and unique!

Gavin wasn't feeling his best on Saturday, because on Friday we went to the dr, and Gavin got his first ever flu shot. He ended up with all of the bad side effects; chills, fever, and very irritable and sore. He didn't sleep well Friday night, and was so cranky for most of Saturday. I think the crowd of friends and family distracted him for a bit, be he wasn't much up for opening presents or playing.

Next we tried his cake...what an epic fail! He had absolutely no interest in touching or eating the cake! Poor little guy barely tasted the icing before he decided that he didn't want anything to do with it!

Overall the party was so great! Gavin had a good time, and so many of our friends and family were able to be there. We missed those that couldn't be there, especially Ray and Jess, but the house was packed and crazy! Gavin got so many toys and presents, that I don't know how he will ever play with them! But he's pretty happy about it! Thanks to everyone who helped make this day special. :)

Happy Birthday Gavin

(If anyone doesn't want to read my lovey rambling, you should just stop now, bc I just can't help it!)

As I sit here typing while you sleep in on your birthday, my pregnancy emotions must be going through the roof! Everytime I think about how my little man is turning 1 year old today, I tear up and am flooded with so many emotions of joy, pride, and love for all the time we've spent this past year. Mostly love...oh my gosh I love you so so  much little Gavin! You have turned our world upside down over this past year, and its been amazing!

The day you were born is a day I will never forget! I knew when I woke up that morning that today was the day. I knew when we got to the hospital and I was working hard to make it through each contraction that you were on your way! And I knew when the Dr said you weren't coming out the way we planned, that you were definitely a Fischer boy; "You wanted to do it your way!" You wanted to choose how you made your debut and you were perfect!

I love thinking back to our first months, when you would lay around and look up at me and Daddy, when you would just snuggle all day and night, and when your every noise made us jump up to see that you were okay! Then we got to watch you start interacting with the world; reaching for toys, rolling over, trying to crawl and then finally walking a month ago! I love your voice and how much you use it! You get this from your Mommy. :)

We have the best family and friends that you have spent so much time with, and they all love you so much! Your Grandparents make you smile the second you see them! Your Aunts and Uncles love on you and give you so many kisses! And your two cousins (and 2 more on the way) make you crack up the entire time they're around you! You are so lucky to have such great people influencing your world and Im thankful every day for all of them!

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy, I love you more than this blog can convey, more than my biggest kiss can make you smile, more than the loudest you can laugh, and more than you will ever know!!

Happy 1st Birthday Liam!

This weekend, Gavin got to attend his buddy Liam's first birthday party. The party was at the YMCA, and all of his friends showed up to celebrate! Liam looked absolutely adorable and was such a good present opener. I think he got tired after a little bit, but he was definitely a trooper. :) He also DOMINATED his cake, which was hilarious! At one point, he gave up on using his hands and just went face first!!

All of us Mommies took a few group pics together, and then we took some with our soon-to-be mommies and friends as well! We have such a great group of girlfriends!

Tori was trying to keep them all entertained with food!

22 weeks with Baby Crew

We are over the halfway mark! Baby Crew will be here before we know it! I have been feeling so much better, and have all my energy back. Good thing too, because we have been so busy lately. And so has Crew! He's been moving all over the place since I was about 16 weeks. Ive been able to feel his kicks more and more each week after that. He's quite the kicker! One of my favorite things is at night when I snuggle with Gavin, Crew kicks him while he's near my tummy! Its like they are already bickering as brothers! haha! Here's a pic:

At Crew's most recent checkup, his heart rate was 152, and everything is going great. He's measuring right on schedule, and every organ they checked looked like it was functioning great! We are so lucky to have such a healthy baby growing in there! And he's definitely growing! Ive almost had to give up my normal jeans, and if I had my way, I'd wear tights every day! Luckily Ive only gained about 5 pounds so far, which blows my mind since this kid is sticking out so much!

The only things I don't like to eat are anything seafood, and there's not much specifically that Im craving. Crew must be a pretty easy going kid now that he's not making me sick anymore! Ive been working on cleaning out the office, aka Crew's room. Ive ordered furniture and bedding, so now I just have to wait for it all to come in so I can put his room together!

Keep kicking and growing little man, we'll be ready for you in February!

Halloween Continued...

We continued our Halloween fun with Gavin for a few more days! On Friday evening, we went with the Howertons and Nana to the Orr Family Farm. The kids rode the carousel, and we took some pics in the pumpkin patch as well as the petting zoo. Gavin and Liam loved all of the animals, and although it was a little chilly, we had a great time!

Saturday we went to our friend Erin's Halloween party at her house. There ended up being around 12 kids, and it was total cuteness and total chaos! Someone always wanted to take their costume off, steal someone's toy, or food or cup, and someone was almost always crying! But we had so much fun and Im so glad Erin organized such an awesome get-together for these little ones!
Our attempt at a group pic!

Obviously there wasn't much hope...

Monday night, the actual Halloween, we went to Norman to visit Grandpa so Gavin could show him his costume. He got some good candy, and then we went from there over to his friend Hal's house to see the haunted house they were putting on. My Dad was a part in it, so we wanted to see what he would be up to!

Thanks for the M&Ms Grandpa

Outside the haunted house
On our way home, we decided to make an impromptu stop at Nana and Papa's house because Papa never got to see Gavin dressed up either! He figured out how to get the candy into his bucket, and we couldn't hardly stop him!

"I'll take this.."

"And put it in here!"

The rest of the evening we spent at home handing out candy. We had a great Halloween week and I think Gavin had a great time too!
