Great Weekend Recap

The Fischer family had a great week AND a great weekend! We had a cookout with some of our very best friends, the Bakers, on Tuesday. Then Friday afternoon, I got to see my dear friend Brittany and her baby girl Rebecca! She is a little peanut and so sweet! Gavin was a very good boy and they played together for a bit!

Saturday morning, Gavin and I went to Hailey's dance recital. She did AMAZING! She was front and center, smiling and doing her moves the whole time. It made me such a proud Aunt!! (She's second from the left in front)

Gavin was a little angel for over 2 hours at the recital
Saturday evening, we had some friends come over to hangout and cookout! The weathe was perfect, and the food was really good!

Sunday I went to my friend Lauren's baby shower for Baby Nash, due 4th of July. The whole shower was themed around her "popping" about the 4th of July! Gwyn and Denise served tootsie pops, cake pops, pop rocks, Meat Pops (meatball), and so many other amazing things! Everything turned out so cute and Lauren is only a few short weeks away from meeting her little man.

Happy Memorial Day!!

This past weekend was Gavin's first trip to Texoma! We drove down Friday afternoon, and had to break him in right away with a golf cart ride! He loves to be outside, and the golf cart made it that much more fun! He just rides and looks at EVERYTHING around him and is so quiet! That evening, we went to watch the sunset at our friend Hal's lakefront house. It was so pretty watching the sun set right off the lake. Gavin had to go in his jammies bc he was already WAY past his 7pm bedtime!

Last minute playtime before bed

The next morning, we got up and headed out to the lake! Gavin and I hung out in the boat while the guys got everything ready to launch. It was very humid, so we couldn't wait to get into the water and get some wind blowing on us to cool us off. But be careful what you wish for...we got our fair share of wind over the weekend!! The water was rough, so we parked the boat around the point at West Beach to get some calm water. We spent two afternoons on the water, tied up to the Campbells and hanging out with all our lake friends!

I think we need to get him his own shades

"You sure I have to wear this hat Mom?"

"Well I DO look pretty cute!"

I love this pic of me and the little munchkin

The Very Hungry Gavin...errrrr...Caterpillar

We like storytime...and I make it a point to read to Gavin every day. It's definitely a task to read to this kid now, because he has decided that he has better things to do then sit quietly and watch as I read. He likes to flail about, grab for other toys, and ALWAYS tries to EAT the books! I give it my best shot to continue reading through the madness...but last night was just a lost cause...

"Hey Mom, wanna read me the Very Hungry Caterpillar?"

"Hold on, I just need a quick bite..."

"On second thought, Im just gonna eat the book and watch TV"
Tonights book reading = EPIC FAIL! Maybe he'll get smarter by slobbering all over the books instead of reading. :)

Welcome Baby Madyn!

Yesterday at 8:40 AM, sweet little Madyn Jaymes Castro was born!! This is my friend Leslie's baby girl, who weighed 7lbs 15oz and is 20" long. I got to go up to Mercy yesterday to visit and hold her and I am so happy for all of the Castro family!
