New York, I Love You

Okay, so I heard "New York, I love you" was a horrible movie, but that's the feeling I got when I first got back into the city this past weekend. I went to NYC to see Jess, my future Sis-in-Law, and do a lil shopping! I got in on Thursday, and one of the first things I passed was our old home. The pictures below are of our apartment building on Roosevelt Island. I miss that place...not just b/c it was a really nice building and apartment, but b/c it was the first home that I ever lived in with Eric. It signifies our first home, and our first year of being married. That year was so important to us b/c the only people we had to count on was each other. No family (besides his amazing brother, of course) to make plans with. It was a great and very challenging year! We had a lot of laughs and a ton of memories in our first apartment...

If I could truly point out our actual apt, I would, but it's a little hard. We're basically on the very far right inner corner, on the 3rd floor...APT 323!

The first night I was in town, Jess and I met her best friend Kristin, at "Cello" which is a little wine bar.

We had some wine and great appetizers, but by the end of the night, Jess decided that she could do a better job than the chef! She went into the kitchen to whip us up something special.

The next day, I got to spend the day with one of my very dear friends, Laura, and her beautiful baby girl, Charlotte! I had never met Charlotte, and she was an absolute doll! We ate at "Blockheads," which has amazing burritos, and then went shopping around 86th, for a little bit.

The rest of the afternoon, I spent walking around, shopping a little, but had a great time. When Jess got home from work, we went to dinner, and I tried Turkish food for the first time. The next day, we went shopping at Saks, and pretty much everywhere else in SoHo, Union Square, and all the way up to Bryant Park! It was a great time, and I am so glad I made the trip to spend the quality time with fav Sis-In-Law! It was a blast!
