I would never want to dismiss or overlook the real meaning of today. I feel like it's so important to remember all the people who are giving up their lives everyday for all of us. I have such respect for all the people I know who have served in the military, especially my Father-In-Law. But I also thank God every day that he retired after over 20 years of serving, because he made it possible for Eric and I to meet and fall in love! (Cheesy I know, but I seriously think about that all the time)
Today, Eric and I watched a movie called "Taking Chance," and it was so good. If you haven't seen it, it's definitely one that will make you think. There is so much tradition and respect within the military community that I have never seen or experienced, and I think it's pretty amazing. There's not a lot of action to this movie, but its about a marine who escorts a fallen soldier home. We really liked it, although it made me a little emotional.
