Eric planned an awesome birthday for me this year. I told him I wanted to go to dinner and to Purple Bar, and he did the rest! He made reservations at Mahogany and reserved a limo to take us there! We kept the dinner pretty small and then headed to Purple Bar to meet the rest of our friends! We haven't had a night out in almost 2 months, so it was much needed and so much fun!

Is It REALLY over?
Wow....7 weeks flew by, and tomorrow is my first day back to work. Forget my other blogs, I'll catch you all up on Christmas and whatever else soon. What really is eating away at me right now is the fact that tomorrow morning I have to wake up like I used to and go to work like I used to. Except nothing is going to be the same...I have to leave the most precious smiling face for 5 whole hours!! I think I have taken forgranted these last 7 weeks, although I dont even know how that's possible b/c I have cherished every second with Gavin, watching him grow, watching him notice more things, become more alert, and sleep longer and longer through the night (thank God!). He is such a perfect baby, and I can't get enough time with him.
I know that Gavin will be in the most loving hands possible while Im gone. His Nana and Grandma can't wait to spend time with him while I work. So I really shouldn't fear for his well-being. He will be just fine without me...I think. Wish me luck, this might be one of the hardest days Ive had with him, even over all the days he screamed for 3 hours straight and there was nothing I could do to soothe him. I'll take that any day over leaving him wondering where I went...
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - Wrap up
We had a great holiday season this year! So many wonderful things to be thankful for, and we got together with all of our family that was in town.
Christmas Eve, we got all dressed up and took Gavin to see his Nana and Papa before we went to my Dads. He looked so cute, but of course, he slept the whole time we were there. So Eric and I took the opportunity to take some pictures together for Christmas and also with his family.

After we left there, we went to Norman to celebrate with my Dad. The kids opened presents from their Grandpa, and we all had fun helping them! Gavin got some cute clothes, lots of toys and a cute giraffe! And Hailey insisted on opening every single toy and taking it out of the box to play with. We turned Grandpa's living room into a war zone in a matter of minutes!

Christmas morning, we woke up and had our own family Christmas time. Gavin started out asleep through present opening, but eventually he woke up and stared while I opened his gifts for him and acted as if he was interested! He got some good stuff from Santa this year, although it will be a few months before he appreciates any of it.

Next we went to Grandma's for Christmas morning with the family. Every year we all get matching Christmas Eve pajamas, or at least coordinating pajamas. This year the theme was red and white, and mostly OU. They were so comfy! We opened gifts, and Gavin got the cutest camo overalls and hat from Grandma and Bill. I think they have big plans for him once he can walk! Look out!!

I also got some great pictures of Gavin smiling. Well, actually I was in the pictures, Eric took them! I love his lil round face!

Then we tried to take our annual group shots. You have no idea the chaos that we had trying to get Hailey to cooperate, Reagan to look at the camera, and Gavin to not cry! It was a mess, and unfortunately, most of them Gavin is still crying or pissed! He's not old enough to bribe with food or presents yet.
