Gav 2 Year / Crew 9 Month Dr

Both the boys had their well check-ups this week. First up was Crew, who slept for the beginning of his appointment. When he finally woke up, he was such a happy and smiley boy for the dr. He kept wanting to give himself kisses in the mirror, it was so funny! His Dr said he is growing great, and is perfectly healthy!

Gavin's appointment was on Friday morning, and Nana watched Crew so I just had to take one kid. Gavin played and played all through the waiting room, made friends, and cheered everytime the train crossed the waiting room. Dr Stacy also said he is doing great, and growing like crazy!

Quality time with Lincoln

Eric and I got to make a special trip to see our FAVORITE nephew, Lincoln! Actually, Eric had planned a work trip, and I told him there was no way he was going to New York without me. :) We got to spend 4 full days with Ray, Jess, and Linc, and had a great time. Jess and I shopped, we ate some great food, and we had lots of snuggle time. We even got to see a big group of our friends that we never get to see! And one afternoon, Eric was brave enough to venture out on Jess and I's shopping adventure. He ended up carrying bags upon bags, but was such a good sport!

Love them so much!

I miss this city

Everytime we have to leave, I miss the city so much. Im glad to live in Oklahoma, but I look back on our time in New York as one of Eric and I's best times we've had! Thanks to Ray and Jess who always go above and beyond to help us have a great time. Mr. and Mrs New York always know how to take care of their guests! Love you and can't wait til our next visit and to snuggle that little man!

Gavin's Birthday Part 1

Happy 2nd Birthday Gavin! I don't know if you know how excited we are about today, but we took you to your first OU football game today, against Baylor. It's not every year that your birthday will fall on football Saturday, much less a home OU game! So we couldn't pass this up. Grandpa gave us tickets to take you, and met up with us to say Happy Birthday before the game! We even had a flyover before the game!

Happy Birthday little man! More birthday posts to come!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year! Gavin was so into it, and loved putting on his costume! At first, we had planned for him to be Elmo, so I bought Crew another monster costume so they could both be monsters. But when I came across an Air Force Pilot costume, Eric and I couldn't resist. Gavin's Papa wore a flight suit to work almost every day throughout Eric's childhood, and we thought it would be cool for Gav to show up in that same type of suit.

We headed to Nana and Papa's house to show off thier costumes before going to a fall festival with their cousins. The whole night was such a good time, and makes me even more excited for when Gav and Crew both love Halloween!

Baptizing the Bear

Today was such a wonderful day! Crew Warren was baptized at St Mark's Catholic Church this morning. :) I love the feeling of having a child of god. You almost can't describe it, but I just felt lighter and so happy. We had the majority of our family, and a few close friends there to witness today.

The Godparents for Crew are Amy and Ryan, as well as my Dad. They were all so honored to be a part of the day! Crew couldn't have been happier throughout the entire baptism. He smiled and bounced when holy water was poured over his naked booty, and he chewed on Father Boyer's finger while he walked him around for the church to see! It was so cute!

Such a blessed day. :)

Crew Bear is 8 Months

Crew Bear, or "Tu-Burr" as Gav calls you!

This past month, our world has been totally turned upside down. We've sold our house and moved into Grandma's to await our house being built, and you've started CRAWLING! I mean, no more silly crawling/scooting/falling all over the place. You've got it down. Up on all fours and moving like you've got places to be! I love it and dread it all at the same time. You are my little vacuum that loves to put everything in sight into your mouth. Ive never swept and mopped so much in my life! But it's worth it to see your little head pop around a corner to come find me.

I am also being forced to give you a little tough love lately, because you refuse to sleep through the night without waking up crying for attention. You don't really need anything, and you don't want to eat, but you want me to come in there and calm you down. But this Mommy is tired! So Ive started letting you cry it out. I check on you about every 10 minutes when you're crying, and it's hard to leave you, but you have to learn! I apologize sweet baby boy!

At 8 Months, you:

- Wear size 12-18 mo onesies and can wear that same size pants too
- Mostly still fit in 12 month pants though
- wear size 4 shoes
- Size 4 diapers (only one size behind your brother)
- Eating same amount of food (2 foods at each meal)
- Started a few finger foods (pieces of chicken, beans, etc)
- Eat 3-4 5oz bottles daily
- Take 2 good naps a day
- Love remotes, phones, and my computer. You will crawl so fast towards any of those things
- Get really mad when I walk by you and don't pick you up!
- Im thinking you're starting to care who is holding you.

Love you Bear Bear

GoodBye to Our Home

Goodbye house...I never thought I would miss you. But thinking back to all the memories that have taken place here, I can't help but be a little sad. We picked out this lot, this house, and everything all the way down to the paint color of the front door. We wrote our names in the concrete on the side of the house when it was just Eric and I. And I'll never forget the day we moved in because it was also the day of one of my best friend's weddings in late September.

We always loved to host, no matter the occasion. We're undefeated in OU/TX watch parties at our house, and we won the 2009 Yankees world series over here too! Every year, we hosted a Christmas party with all our friends, and had WAY too much fun! Every spring we planted and killed more flowers than I would like to admit. And one snowy winter, we sledded down our hill in the backyard with Jared and Tina. We've thrown the Frisbee for Lexi more times than I can count.

We found out we were pregnant 3 different times in this house. 2 boys and 1 guardian angel later, I feel like our lives really STARTED in this house. When we brought Gavin home,  we spent the first few nights sleeping in the living room right next to him because we were too scared something would happen! He took his first steps, learned his first words, and had his first birthday party here. Before we could blink, we were bringing Crew home to meet his brother, after turning our office into our 2nd nursery. We had 2, yes 2 cribs for our 2 babies bc they are only 15 months apart. The majority of our time was spent on our living room floor, playing, wrestling, tickling, and reading books. I can also remember pacing this house with a fussy baby, a sick baby, or a baby that just needed cuddling. So many sleepless nights here that I wouldn't trade for the world. So many movie nights and "dungeon days" when we wanted to be lazy. So many projects when we didn't.

Although we built this house, I believe this house BUILT US. There wasn't a single picture or curtain hung in this house that didn't cause Eric and I to want to kill each other! And not even 5 minutes later we would be laughing about it. We've spent 5 of our 6 married years here, and learned so much about being a married couple, a team, and how to be parents together. (Although I don't think anyone really knows what their doing with parenting!) I wouldn't trade a moment of our lives in this house.  I'll look back forever and appreciate this house and all the memories...now onto the next chapter.
