Great Friends...Great Weekend!

We had a really fun weekend with all of our friends! There were 10 of us altogether, who went down to the lake for a mini lake trip. We didn't have a whole bunch of plans, just to hang out at the dock, tube a little on the lake, and have a little competition called the CCOs!

Grant and Liz - The Birthday Kids!

Shot necklaces for everyone!

"Sofina" the best raft ever!

All the girls with their "Bubba Kegs" - which I guess are amazing for keeping beer cold! Mine was obviously a prop

Rhett & Elizabeth tubing together - She challenged JJ not to "bore her" so he threw her pretty hard!

JJ & Eric tubing - well at least Eric was tubing

The shop is all ready for the CCOs

Team "Bo Black"

Team "Disabled Red"

Team "Mean Green"

Team "Skinner Blue"

Team "Purple People Eaters"

The entire CCO group

So I guess it's safe to explain the name of our event: It's the "Colored Couples Olympics!" We didn't want any misinterpretation here, but it was still a funny name! The whole evening consisted of your team having to dress from head to toe in your color, then you had to compete in a series of events with different points available to earn each event. At the end, most points = King and Queen of the CCOs! Now to the games....

1st Event: "Butt Quarters"
Object: Carry 2 quarters per person from start to finish, and land the quarter in a solo cup!

Event 2: Find the Balls
Object: One team member is blindfolded while the other guides them only using their voice, to find 3 balls out in the middle of the yard!
*This event had to be altered for Team Disabled Red: I had to only walk, and JJ followed immediately behind me in case I tripped!

The messy scoreboard

Event 3: Obstacle Course of Death
Object: Finish a series of games, all while tied at the wrists and feet!
Mitch thought the name was totally a joke, but it ended up being quite the dramatic event! The rope that Mitch bought ended up cutting into everyone's ankles, and making them bleed. Of course, Team Disabled Red didn't have to tie our feet together, "in case I fell."

After you run across the yard and hula hoop, you have to run back and roll a Yahtzee!

Sommer and Grant completing the last task of "Flip Cup"

Event 4: Butt Feeler Game
Object: Feel all the guys' butts and decide whose is whose!
This game was absolutely hilarious! We DID NOT switch it around and let the guys feel our butts!

Event 5: Newlywed Game
Object: Answer questions about your spouse and see who gets the most right!

Girls side!

WINNERS JJ AND NASH!

We had way too much fun with these CCOs, and have decided to try and do a winter version sometime this year!
