This week we are definitely getting into "baby readiness" mode! We've got to start working on the nursery, and get organized! First on the list was to put together the stroller. Eric got everything out, and at first he was doing it all on his own. He had 3/4 of it put together, and then when he got to the rear wheels, I decided to get in the way of his progress. So we found these two pieces that we COULD NOT get to fit anywhere. We checked the diagram of all the parts that are included...wasn't on there.
We went step by step through all the directions...no random spoke looking thing mentioned anywhere! So finally Eric gives in.
E: "Well, I guess we're just not using these then!"
K: "I dont know how I feel about NOT using some of the included parts for our baby's stroller!"
So once again, we search the manual, examine the entire area, and conclude that there's NO WAY these parts belong to our stroller! Eric puts it upright, and starts wheeling it around the house. He parks it in front of me and then proceeds to break down the box. So Im messing around with it, and I try out the brakes. I push down on both back wheels, and.....NOTHING! We have no brakes!
K: Umm...babe...the brakes don't work!
E: What do you mean the brakes don't work?
K: Well, Im pushing them and nothing is happening. I guess those parts have to do with brake, so we need to figure out how to get them on there!
E: KIM! They dont fit, I guess we're just not gonna have brakes!
At this point, I immediately start cracking up laughing and tell him there's no way we can NOT have brakes for the stroller! Finally he agrees and starts taking off the back wheels again. I dont know what was different this time, but we got it to fit, and now Gavin will safely stay PUT when we need him to!
